And problably would even w/o it. Reagan got busted selling weapons to Iranian hostage takers to fund illegal CIA/military activities in Central America. Everyone said it was wrong and criminal except for Wyoming Senator Cheney...he looked at it and called it Good. That lone dissent became the basis for two terms of military policy that included war profiteering, torture, domestic espionage and lies to Congress, the people and the world to justify an unnecessary war of choice. Enron was the biggest corporate scandal in history. People went to prison over it. But it's methods were adopted my Wall St and the Bush Whitehouse. Result? Wall St Meltdown and Toxic Asset Relief Program at end of Bush Administration. I can only guess it is some form of social/political Peter Principle. I can see it and name it easy enough. But fixing it? Leave it in the hands of the better minds? More trained and better qualified? Its rare they even SEE it!
