Do NOT Take the Re-election of Barack Obama for Granted

Chi'ren chi'ren. You would think that because of Santorum's appeal to the
Chistofascist segment population at the cost of demonizing the vast majority of
Americans, you would THINK that he wouldn't have a snowball's chance right
now.
What everyone has forgotten is that the electoral, the participatory political process (oh Jesus, the alliteration!) has been chronically deformed since the Red Tide of 2010.
1. Citizens United has usurped the process to the point that political campaigns thrive and die at the whim of billionaires. Everyone else has effectively been cut out.
2. All of the Republican governorships and unprecedented Republican control of state houses has provided the perfect environment to suppress voter participation. Ordinarily voter suppression relies on an unmotivated, complacent or apathetic voting public to succeed. People have been in the streets since Scott Walker threatened to call the National Guard in Wisconsin in response to his union busting actions. Its gonna get FUN SON!
3. The 2010 Republicans in state houses were opportunely placed and timed to take advantage of post census redistricting to jerrymander their states to their own advantage. Where Federal Laws have been broken over this won't be recognized for YEARS. We don't have years. We don't have A year!
3. Most egregiously in Michigan, the appointment by the Governor there of Emergency Financial Managers has allowed for the the take over several towns and cities and suspension of their elected officials and representation. In this fashion over half of all blacks who live in Michigan have been deprived of their elected representation. This should be gross violation of the Civil Rights Act and definitely the Voter Rights Act. But again, we have to wait til the presidential election actually comes before we find out just how real they want to get with it. Some would call this Fascism. You can be sure there are others who want to call it the latest product ready to ship throughout the U.S.
