Commented in response to a friend 's observation that that Trump's response to the Corona Virus smelled slot like the same calculations that went into the liability considerations re Corvair and Ford Pinto vis-a-vis profitability of letting consumers die and be maimed vs recall and and refit. I.e. Cheaper to let people die.

 We just happen to be at the last quarter inch of fuse before we hit that climate change human impacting mass extinction event.

Note how quickly pollution cleared up after industry got smothered by the Corona Virus. We are still having whacky as Fuck weather patterns. Hurricane season just kicked up a couple of months early over the Bahamas. Not a week or two ago, the Polar Vortex wandered around the U.S. like a lost dementia patient.

Who here is old enough to remember when the Polar Vortex jumping its axis and running amok was terrifyingly anomalous behavior...in the middle of WINTER!

The Pestilence was effectively a wet towel thrown on a dumpster fire. Gives us an idea what a healthy world looks and smells like and the wildlife roaming the streets like something out of 12 Monkeys is really neat.

But the damage done will not be undone so easily.

Back to the Republicans and Trump.

If there was going to be anything done,  it would have been done already.

Emperor Nero is going to feed us to the virus. Fast talk his way past body counts sure to reach the millions. Imagine if Moses was a carnival barker with no sense of direction and no clue what he was doing as he led the Israelites into the desert.

The Promised Land forever, just past that dune. "Okay, the next one then. It'll be just like a miracle! The desert goes away in the Spring! God told me so, loud as anything! Injecting sand makes the desert to away! China is to blame for making the Promised Land so far away! "

Trump is feeding us to the Virus.

People died to give us the 8 hour day.

These 100 thousand + dead by June are merely an inconvenience. 

He tells us we are all Warriors and that we need to bravely risk our lives and those of our families so he can get re-elected. What I don't hear him or any other Republican offering is a domestic equivalent to the GI Bill.

Which is hilarious because we are past Great Depression levels of unemployment and economic contraction and everything done outside the home is a game of 2 or 3 week onset of Russian Roulette that threatens the whole household.

It is no less dangerous than war on American soil. And as such, it rhymes with what's on the Vietnam era GI's lighter.

 "We the unwilling, led by the unqualified, kill the unfortunate, for the ungrateful."

It goes like this:

 "We the unwilling and unfortunate, die for the ungrateful and unqualified. "

How much is that risk of death worth? $15 an hour? $20? Insurance? Benefits? Death Benefits?

How much is a reasonable price for a daily obligatory game of Russian Roulette that that risks the entire household?

But Death Cult that they are, Republicans are pushing Social Darwnism even at this absurd date. Calling direct payment support for Americans a waste while immunizing employers against liability for killing their employees.

Hint: If it is more profitable for employees to live on stimulus checks than go out and work (which it's not, it's really not) then it's because workers aren't paid enough to begin with. And absolutely not paid enough to play Russian Roulette with our families lives on the daily!

They are going to be the death of us all. Sorry for running long.
